How did the Libyan Rebels or Revolutionists whatever they are acquire tanks, maritime force and an air force?

I been wondering that for awhile now that i heard about the conflict in Libya how did these people mananged to acquire combat jets and helicopoters as well as transport planes and helicopters, tanks, APCs, machineguns, rpgs, assault rifles etc.. they even have a frigate and a corvette how did this happen it's unbelieveable not even Los Zetas or Al Qaeda have these kind of stuff these people are better armed than the islamic radicals and drug cartels
